How long does it take to turn a green pool blue again?
Most pools clear up within a few days after shock treatment and a full filtration cycle, depending on how far the algae had progressed. We'll give you a realistic timeline after seeing your pool.
Why did my pool turn green?
Usually a combination of skipped chemical treatments, heavy rain diluting chlorine, and Florida's heat — all of which let algae grow fast, especially after a vacation or a few missed maintenance visits.
Is a green pool safe to swim in?
No. Algae can harbor bacteria and make the water unsafe until it's properly shocked, filtered, and tested clear. Avoid swimming until we confirm the water is balanced.
Do I need to drain my pool to fix it?
In most cases, no. We can recover the majority of green pools with shock treatment and filtration alone, without draining or refilling.
How much does green pool recovery cost?
It depends on how severe the algae growth is and your pool size. We inspect first and give you an upfront quote before starting treatment.
